Kyoto indigo, folded and clamped rather than stamped. Itajime shibori — fold-and-clamp resist, hard-edged squares and radiating triangles. Colours: deep indigo ground with the resisted pattern left in undyed white. This piece has not been made. It is a studio proposal showing what a collaboration with Yuki Tanaka could look like, drawn in the composition language of the kelaghayi — a border, a medallion, and the motif scattered across the open field.
