Samarkand, fourteenth century. Registan tilework geometry — Timurid interlacing stars and eight-point rosettes. Colours: lapis lazuli blue ground, geometry in turquoise, cream and gold. This piece has not been made. It is a studio proposal showing what a collaboration with Dilnoza Yusupova could look like, drawn in the composition language of the kelaghayi — a border, a medallion, and the motif scattered across the open field.
