Emerald is one of the seven colours of the yeddi rəng, the full palette a master must hold. The same king's buta rises here as on its blue sister — şah buta, the mountain that shelters — three to a corner, each one filled with a flowering branch and ringed in cream. Its name comes from the emerald ground (zümrüd) and the şah buta.
