A soft lilac tone speaks of calm and delicacy. The central medallion is the şəmsə — the sun and the centre of the world; a rope-like twist of butas borders it, and ornaments complete the corners. Its name comes from the lilac (yasəmən) and the sun medallion (şəmsə).
