Vivid bənövşəyi — violet — is a young and dynamic colour; the young woman wears alvan (vivid) hues. The single central medallion is the şəmsə, an ancient sun symbol and the centre of the world; butas complete the corners. Its name comes from the violet (bənövşə) and the sun medallion (şəmsə).
